Audiovox CDM-8900 review
A notable phone we had a look at is the Audiovox CDM-8900, a phone that was designed to rival the mobile phone market. Launched around 01/10/2003 the CDM-8900 works under the networks AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / 1900. Measuring only 87 x 45 x 19 mm while weighting only 93 g, this phone has a perfect design. The Audiovox CDM-8900 is equipped with a nice little camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px. The phone is equipped with a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery which lets you talk for about 3.21 hours and provides in standby mode 212 hours. Its engineers included a 32 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! An attractive option of the Audiovox CDM-8900 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The large screen lets installation of wallpapers of 128 x 128 px.
Audiovox has modeled its CDM-8900 with a 32 chords capable ringtones, ready for you to add tons of ringers. The gaming system included in the Audiovox CDM-8900 is running on BREW, providing cool little games! Unsurprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the CDM-8900 enables both SMS and EMS. The phone has a calendar which is very intuitive and Audiovox included a phone book with a capacity of 300.
The text prediction system exploits the T9 technology, which is very easy to use. The data transfer uses the cdma2000 1xRTT technology. We have found the Audiovox CDM-8900 to be a fantastic cell phone and we happily suggest it to anyone interested in a good phone!
