Audiovox PPC4100 review
A notable phone we had the chance to review is the Audiovox PPC4100, a cell phone that has been created to compete a very competitive market. Unveiled around 01/7/2004 the PPC4100 functions under the networks GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 109 x 69 x 22 mm while weighting only 158 g, this phone has a perfect design. The Audiovox PPC4100 is including a compact camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 4X Zoom / Flash. The phone is equipped with a 1480 mAh Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 3.00 hours and provides in standby mode 100 hours. Its creators added a 64 MB memory, enough a normal use! Adding to its internal memory you can augment it with external memory with SD / MMC memory cards.
An attractive option of the Audiovox PPC4100 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this cell phone lets you insert wallpapers of 240 x 320 px. Audiovox has created its PPC4100 with a 48 chords ringtones engine, ready for you to add tons of ringers. The gaming system included in the Audiovox PPC4100 is running on BREW, providing cool little games! Unsurprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the PPC4100 enables both SMS and EMS.
Adding to that it supports MMS messaging to send all your multimedia messages! The phone includes a calendar which is very easy to use and Audiovox included a phone book enabling a contact list of 300. The prediction text tool is using the T9 technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The PPC4100 is supporting streaming media of type being based on the Windows Media Player technology.
The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) technology. The PPC4100 has an infrared port for wireless communication. The phone may be connected to a computer with a cable to transfer data between both systems.
