A notable phone we had the chance to test is the Kyocera K404, a cell phone that has been created to revolutionize a very competitive market. Launched around 01/10/2004 the K404 works under the networks AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 113 x 48 x 23 mm and having a weight of only 100 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. The phone is equipped with a 900 mAh Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 3.50 hours and lets in standby mode about 180 hours. An interesting option of the Kyocera K404 is the speaker phone, which is always useful in loud places! The nice screen of this cell phone lets installation of wallpapers of 104 x 90 px.
Kyocera designed the K404 with a 16 chords capable ringtones, ready for you to add many ringtones. Not surprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the K404 enables both SMS and EMS. The cell phone comes with a calendar which is well designed and Kyocera equipped it with a phone book having a contact list capacity of 200. The predictive text system is based on the eZiText technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The data transfer is using the cdma2000 1xRTT technology.
