A great phone we had the chance to review is the Motorola A780, a phone that was conceived to compete this year's market. Unveiled around 01/10/2004 the A780 functions under the networks GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Being of size 107 x 53 x 24 mm and weighting only 130 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. The Motorola A780 also includes a powerful camera of 1.3 MP / 1280 x 960 px / Video Recorder. This phone arrives with a 780 mAh Li-Ion battery which lets you talk for about 6.00 hours and provides in standby mode 190 hours. Its engineers included a 48 MB memory, a good quantity for your daily tasks! Adding to its internal memory external memory can be added of format TransFlash / microSD memory cards.
An interesting option of the Motorola A780 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The nice screen of this cell phone lets installation of wallpapers of 240 x 320 px. Motorola built the A780 with a 24 chords ringtone player, making a great phone for you to add a lot of ringtones. The gaming system included in the Motorola A780 is running on J2ME / 3D Engine, supporting fun little games! Unsurprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the A780 enables both SMS and EMS.
You also have MMS messages enabled to send all your multimedia messages! The cell phone comes with a calendar which is well designed and Motorola provided a phone book having a capacity of 1000. The text prediction system uses the iTAP technology, which is very easy to use. The A780 is supporting streaming media of type exploiting the RealOne Player technology.
The High speed data transfer is using the GPRS (Class 10) / EDGE technology. It can also be connected to a computer with a cable to share information. We have found the Motorola A780 to be a fantastic cell phone and we would recommend it to you!
