Motorola ROKR E1 review
An outstanding phone we had the chance to test is the Motorola ROKR E1, a cell phone that has been created to revolutionize a very competitive market. Unveiled around 01/7/2005 the ROKR E1 functions under the networks GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900. Measuring only 108 x 46 x 20 mm and having a weight of only 107 g, this phone has a perfect design. The Motorola ROKR E1 is including a compact camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 4X Zoom / Flash / Video Recorder. It comes with a Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 9.33 hours and gives in standby 230 hours. Its engineers included a 5.0 MB memory, enough for a regular use! Summing to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with microSD / TransFlash memory cards.
An interesting option of the Motorola ROKR E1 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The large screen is capable of setting wallpapers of 176 x 220 px. Motorola has equipped its ROKR E1 with a 24 chords ringtone ringer, ready for you to add all the ringtones you wish. If you love to skin your phone you will like to know the ROKR E1 enables custom. The game collection included in the Motorola ROKR E1 runs on J2ME, providing cool games to play with! Unsurprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the ROKR E1 supports both SMS and EMS.
Adding to that it supports MMS messaging to send all your multimedia messages! The phone includes a calendar which is very intuitive and Motorola included a phone book enabling a contact list of 1000. The prediction text tool exploits the iTAP technology, which is very easy to use.
The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) technology. It can also be connected to a computer with a cable to exchange information. We believe the Motorola ROKR E1 to be a fantastic cell phone and we greatly encourage it to anyone interested in a good phone!
