Motorola V188 review
An admirable cell phone we have evaluated is the Motorola V188, a phone that was conceived to compete this year's market. Released around 01/4/2005 the V188 functions under the networks GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Measuring only 86 x 45 x 23 mm while weighting only 80 g, this phone is just the perfect size. It comes with a 820 mAh Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 5.83 hours and lasts in standby around 275 hours. Its engineers included a 1.8 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! An attractive option of the Motorola V188 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this cell phone lets you insert wallpapers of 128 x 128 px.
Motorola created the V188 with a 24 chords ringtone player, ready for you to add tons of ringers. The gaming engine Motorola V188 is running on J2ME, which supports many fun games! Not surprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the V188 has support for both SMS and EMS. Additionally it has MMS messaging to send all your multimedia messages! The calendar available is very intuitive and Motorola included a phone book having a capacity of 500. The prediction text tool exploits the T9 technology, being very easy to use.
The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) technology. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to share information. We have found the Motorola V188 to be a fantastic cell phone and we greatly encourage it to anyone interested in a good phone!
