Motorola V220 review
An admirable cell phone we had the chance to review is the Motorola V220, a phone that was conceived to rival a very competitive market. Launched around 01/7/2004 the V220 is supporting the networks GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900. Being of size 84 x 44 x 24 mm and having a weight of only 100 g, this phone is just the perfect size. The Motorola V220 is equipped with a powerful camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 4X Zoom. This phone arrives with a 820 mAh Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 5.33 hours and provides in standby mode 230 hours. Its engineers included a 1.8 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! A cool thing of the Motorola V220 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The large screen is capable of setting wallpapers of 128 x 128 px.
Motorola has designed its V220 with a 24 chords ringtones engine, ready for you to add several ringtones. If you like phones that uses skins you will like to know the V220 has customizable themes enabled. The game collection included in the Motorola V220 is running on J2ME, having cool games to distract yourself! Unsurprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the V220 enables both SMS and EMS.
It also supports MMS messaging to send pictures and any multimedia file! The phone has a calendar which is very intuitive and Motorola equipped it with a phone book having a contact list capacity of 500. The text prediction tool exploits the iTAP technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) technology. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to share information.
We believe the Motorola V220 to be an awesome cell phone and we would recommend it to you!
