Motorola V500 review
A great phone we had the chance to test is the Motorola V500, a phone that was designed to revolutionize a very competitive market. Unveiled around 01/10/2003 the V500 is supporting the networks GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Being of size 89 x 49 x 24 mm and weighting only 122 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. The Motorola V500 comes with an interesting camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 4X Zoom. This phone arrives with a 700 mAh Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 5.00 hours and lasts in standby around 210 hours. Its creators added a 5 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! An attractive option of the Motorola V500 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The nice screen of this cell phone lets installation of wallpapers of 176 x 220 px.
Motorola has equipped its V500 with a 32 chords ringtone ringer, making a great phone for you to add a lot of ringtones. If you love to skin your phone you will like to know the V500 supports custom themes. The gaming engine Motorola V500 runs on J2ME, providing cool games to play with! Unsurprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the V500 has support for both SMS and EMS.
Additionally it has MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The phone includes a calendar which is well designed and Motorola included a phone book having a contact list capacity of 1000. The text prediction system uses the iTap technology, being very easy to use. The High speed data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 10) technology. Connection to a computer is possible with a cable to share data between both systems.
We conclude believing the Motorola V500 to be a very interesting cell phone and we would recommend it to anyone interested in a good phone!
