Nokia 6260 review
An extraordinary mobile phone we had a look at is the Nokia 6260, a cell phone that has been created to rival this year's market. Unveiled around 01/10/2004 the 6260 functions under the networks GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 102 x 49 x 23 mm and having a weight of only 130 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. The Nokia 6260 is including a beautiful camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 2X Zoom / Video Recorder. It comes with a 760 mAh Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 4.00 hours and provides in standby mode 144 hours. Its creators incorporated a 6 MB memory, a good quantity for your daily tasks! Adding to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with RS-MMC memory cards.
An interesting option of the Nokia 6260 is the speaker phone, which is always useful in loud places! The large screen lets installation of wallpapers of 176 x 208 px. Nokia built the 6260 with a 48 chords ringtone ringer, making a great phone for you to add several ringtones. If you like skinnable phones you will be happy the 6260 has customizable themes enabled. The gaming system included in the Nokia 6260 is based on J2ME, providing cool games to play with! Unsurprisingly, as it is available in all cell phones nowadays, the 6260 supports both SMS and EMS.
It also supports MMS messaging to send pictures and any multimedia file! The phone has a calendar which is very easy to use and Nokia equipped it with a phone book having a contact list capacity of 200. The text prediction system is using the T9 technology, which is very easy to use.
The data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 6) technology. The 6260 is also equipped with an infrared port for data transfer. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to transfer data between both systems. We have found the Nokia 6260 to be a great cell phone and we greatly encourage it to someone in search of a good phone!
