A special phone we have evaluated is the Nokia 7700, a phone that was designed to revolutionize the mobile phone market. Unveiled around 01/4/2004 the 7700 is supporting the networks GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 134 x 80 x 22 mm while weighting only 183 g, this cell phone makes an interesting tool. The Nokia 7700 also includes a beautiful camera of 0.3 MP / 640 x 480 px / 2X Zoom. This cell phone comes with a 1300 mAh Li-Polymer battery, enough to talk for about 4.00 hours and gives in standby 264 hours. Its creators added a 64 MB memory, enough a normal use! Adding to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with SD / MMC memory cards.
An interesting option of the Nokia 7700 is the speaker phone, which is always useful in loud places! The screen on this cell phone is capable of setting wallpapers of 640 x 320 px. The gaming system included in the Nokia 7700 is based on J2ME / Symbian OS, supporting fun little games! Not surprisingly, being standard in all cell phone, the 7700 enables both SMS and EMS. It also supports MMS messaging to send all your multimedia messages! The text prediction system uses the Handwriting Recognition technology, being very easy to use.
The 7700 is supporting streaming media of type exploiting the RealMedia / H.263 / MPEG-4 / 3GPP technology. This cell phone is using the GPRS (Class 10) / EDGE technology. The 7700 has been designed with an infrared port for wireless data transfer. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to share data between both systems.
