Nokia N-Gage QD review
A notable phone we had the chance to review is the Nokia N-Gage QD, a cell phone that has been created to compete the mobile phone market. Released around 01/4/2004 the N-Gage QD is supporting the networks GSM 850 / 1900. Measuring only 118 x 68 x 22 mm and having a weight of only 143 g, this phone is just the perfect size. This cell phone comes with a 1070 mAh Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 3.50 hours and lasts in standby around 240 hours. Its engineers included a 3.4 MB memory, just enough for your daily tasks! Adding to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with MMC memory cards.
A cool thing of the Nokia N-Gage QD is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The large screen is capable of setting wallpapers of 176 x 208 px. The gaming system included in the Nokia N-Gage QD is based on Game Deck (MMC) / J2ME, supporting fun little games! Unsurprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the N-Gage QD has support for both SMS and EMS. Additionally it has MMS messaging to send pictures and any multimedia file! The text prediction tool exploits the T9 technology, which is renowned as a good tool.
The N-Gage QD supports streaming media exploiting the RealOne Player technology. The High speed data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 6) technology. The phone may be connected to a computer with a cable to exchange data between both systems. We have found the Nokia N-Gage QD to be a fantastic cell phone and we greatly encourage it to someone in search of a good phone!
