Nokia N-Gage review
An interesting cell phone we had the chance to review is the Nokia N-Gage, a phone that was conceived to rival this year's market. Unveiled around 01/10/2003 the N-Gage supports the networks GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 134 x 70 x 20 mm while weighting only 137 g, this cell phone makes an interesting tool. It comes with a 850 mAh Li-Ion battery which lets you talk for about 3.00 hours and lets in standby mode about 175 hours. Its creators incorporated a 3.4 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! Summing to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with MMC memory cards.
An interesting option of the Nokia N-Gage is the speaker phone, which is always useful in loud places! The large screen lets you insert wallpapers of 176 x 208 px. The game collection included in the Nokia N-Gage runs on Game Deck (MMC) / J2ME, supporting fun little games! Not surprisingly, as it is available in all cell phones nowadays, the N-Gage has support for both SMS and EMS. It also supports MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The predictive text system is based on the T9 technology, being a top system for easy using.
The N-Gage supports streaming media exploiting the RealOne Player technology. The High speed data transfer uses the GPRS (Class 6) technology. It can also be connected to a computer with a cable to share ringtones, wallpapers, etc. We have found the Nokia N-Gage to be an awesome cell phone and we happily suggest it to someone in search of a good phone!
