A great phone we have experimented is the Samsung SPH-A500, a phone that was conceived to compete a very competitive market. Launched around 01/7/2003 the SPH-A500 works under the networks AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / 1900. Being of size 88 x 50 x 20 mm and having a weight of only 102 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. This cell phone comes with a 900 mAh Li-Ion battery, letting a talk time of 2.50 hours and lets in standby mode about 216 hours. Its creators added a 640 KB memory, a good quantity a normal use! The nice screen of this cell phone is capable of setting wallpapers of 128 x 128 px.
Samsung has equipped its SPH-A500 with a 16 chords ringtone ringer, ready for you to add many ringtones. The gaming engine Samsung SPH-A500 is based on J2ME, having cool little games to play with! The phone includes a calendar which is very easy to use and Samsung equipped it with a phone book enabling a contact list of 250. The text prediction system uses the T9 technology, being very easy to use.
